Al Mahdi Islamic Center

Shia Islamic center of NY comprises mainly of Shia Muslims from the Indian Subcontinent and East Africa - known as Khojas (pious individuals), and  influenced regions of the Muslim world. This center promotes the teachings of Islam according to Shia Ithna-Asheri Ja’ffari Faith and provides facilities for the Members and their families to observe the same.
It promotes the welfare of the Members and their families, and creates, cultivates and maintains goodwill, amity and understanding between the Members.
