Islamic Ahlulbayt Foundation of New Zealand

In answer to the need of a formal Shia Muslims Identity this Shia center in New Zealand, was formally established as a Registered Charitable Trust in 1993 with the initiative of five trustees and with the blessings of Ayatollah Golpaygani (a.r.) who acted as the Settlor of the Trust.

Its programs contain:

1. Islamic School for children from the age of 5 yrs to 14 yrs .

2. Salat ul Jumu’a (Fridays)Dua’a Kumail on Thursdays.

3.Programs for Wiladat, Shahadat and other important events throughout the year.

4.Special programs in the holy month of Ramadan, Muharram and Safar.

5.Organizing retreats, youth camps and other youth forums to facilitate Muslim youth in NZ

.6.Interfaith religious events such as common word seminar with Christians and other religious organizations.

7.Social welfare campaigns to reflect the teachings of Ahlulbayt in the society.

8.Provide matrimonial and funeral services to the community.

9.Educating the wider society with the teachings of Ahlul Bayt.
